Terms of Business for Pet Photography
Like every business, unfortunately we do need to have the 'small print', to protect not only ourselves, but also you. We know this isn't the exciting bit, but we do need you to read this first.
Session Locations – We’re based in New Barnet on the Hertfordshire and London borders. We normally cover everywhere inside the M25, together with Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Berkshire. However locations further than 25 driven miles from New Barnet may incur additional mileage charges or other travel expenses. Locations requiring overnight accommodation will also be at extra cost. Should either be applicable, this will be discussed with you and subject to your agreement before confirming your booking.
Safety - At all times during the session the safety of your animal(s) is paramount and we will discuss your pet’s capabilities and characteristics with you beforehand. For dogs we will also review recall and your normal walking routine (whether walked on or off-lead etc), however owners/handlers should always interject should they feel a dog’s safety is at risk. At all times please behave with your dog(s) as you would on any normal walk and place them on a lead or ask to change location if you feel it is appropriate. We cannot accept responsibility for accidents, damage, injuries or similar that might occurs to people, animals or property during one of our pet photography sessions when caused by the behaviour of your pet(s).
Payment For Photo Session - A £50 deposit is payable at the time of booking to confirm your session. The balance of the session fee will be payable on the day of the session.
Postponement - Should postponement of a session be necessary for genuine reasons we will do everything possible to rebook your session to a suitable later date at no extra charge.
Cancellation – In the event of cancellation within 14 days of the booked session date, we regret that deposits are non-refundable because of difficulties in filling cancelled slots at short-notice.
Payment for Print and Product Orders - Full payment for prints and other ordered items is required at the time of ordering. We will normally place your order with our suppliers 2 working days of receipt in case you wish to make any changes. Thereafter, payment is unfortunately non-refundable. This is because once our suppliers begin production of your order using your images they are unique to you and have no resale value to anyone else.
Viewing and Ordering Process - after your session we will present you with your images to view (either in person or online depending on your location) and you can then order any finished prints or products you may wish to purchase. We are happy to help and advise in this process; however all advice is to be taken in the spirit intended and all purchase decisions are solely the responsibility of the purchaser. All dimensions of both images and finished products are approximate and provided for guidance only; actual dimensions may vary as part of the manufacturing process.
Production and Delivery Estimates vary according to the item(s) being ordered and unfortunately cannot be guaranteed. Early ordering is strongly recommended for special occasions and especially in advance of Christmas.
We reserve the right to amend, alter or withdraw without notice any special offers, pricing, packages or products listed on this website or any of our promotional material (including other third-party websites & literature).
Copyright and Ownership - Unless otherwise agreed in writing, under UK copyright law all images and digital files produced by us remain the property and copyright of Jon Whycer Photography. We reserve the right to use images photographed by us in our online and offline promotional material, including on this website, and in stock photography. Jon Whycer Photography is a trading name of Business Plus Solutions Ltd.
Technical Limitations - Colour photography is undertaken within the technical limitations of the process and certain colours may not necessarily be exact over the whole range of colours within a subject. Prints made at different times and images viewed on different computer screens (and other similar electronic devices) may be variable in colour balance. However we will endeavour to ensure a high level of colour accuracy within the technical limitations of the processes available to us.
Loss of Digital Material - Although we will exercise all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the performance of our commission, in the event of any unforeseen circumstances causing loss of digital material that we will only be responsible for the refund of any session fees paid, although every effort will be made to retake the photographs.
Public Liability and Professional Indemnity – we maintain appropriate insurance in respect of public liability and professional indemnity.
Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions - By making a booking or purchase with us you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Errors and omissions excepted.
